Yup, truck is totaled. Went for a swim in the ocean. It was a black '05 Hemi QC and I got it in May. I'm pretty much in a state of mourning. I washed it three times a week, banged three ***** in the back seat, drove it up Mount Washington, pulled down trees at my parents house with it. Lots of good times in a very short time. I love the sound of the Gibson in front of the rear wheel exhaust. It was just starting to break in and get real loud.

Stopped by the Dodge dealership at lunch today asking about a replacement. No 05's that come even close to fitting my request. They did a search and called me tonight with no results.

I really don't like the changes and massive headlights on the 06.

The salesman was my little league coach back in the day, hooked me up on the first one. Told me up front right now the equivalent 06 will be at least $2000 more. Said he would have a hard time doing anything good for me and I might be better off waiting till the spring.

Anybody know where there is a new black 05 Hemi QC SLT, towing package, 20's....? Basically all the good stuff.

Might have to buy a Ford.

Not sure where you are located, but the dealer down here has about 20 2005 Quad Cabs left. Only 3 are black.

Unless you live in the middle of nowhere, you shouldn't have a problem finding an 05 with the options you want. Go to www.dodge.com and plug in your zip code to to an inventory search of dealers. Most of the time you can even look at the window sticker online.

 

Yeah I agree with DonG. Check online with all the local dealers. I was trying to buy a truck from a dealer nearby but they sold it before I could make a decision. They said they would find me one that I wanted and would call me the next day. They called with only 2 choices so I decided to check for myself. I found many more available and ended up buying one from another dealer. Their loss.

 

Here in Syracuse there are two, unfortunately they don't have the 20's, both hemi, SLT, one is with lower two tone paint. The other has the sport appearance pkg, 3.92 gears, anti-spin, sun roof, the OWL 17 off road tires, sliding rear window, trailer tow, and light group.
