Default which torque converter to choose

I got a 5.7 hemi im rebuilding, its got comp cams 260, self ported & polished heads, 6.1 springs and rods, etc. while I am swapping engines I think it would be smart to put a performance torque converter in. which is better? the tci breakaway or the edge racing? only looking to spend around $500.

What I did was contact Circle D and Edge (but its your personal preference) and gave them my specs, anticipated changes and intended use (still towing or not, etc) and they both recommended a converter to best fit my combo.

it kinda seems like the tci converters are premade, cant pick stall or customized to suit you. that's just what I see from different retailers. both circle d and edge look pretty good. Edge seems to be fully built to every aspect of your vehicle when bought from edges site.

I've run edge and circle d. Either company will custom stall it to your needs. Personally I ended up pulling the circle d due to poor part throttle drivability. Edge has performed much better than the circle d did, hands down better.

thanks, I am pretty confident with the edge converter. seems to be the better choice. And they got 3 different tc to choose from for 545rfe, depending on hp.
