Default 05, 3500 brake lights not working

I have an 05 Dodge 3500 dually diesel. The brake lights are not working. The brake light on the cab works and the turn signals both work. Any ideas where to start looking?

Thanks, Byron

Welcome to DF. Did you check the fusebox/power distribution center under the hood?

Moving you to the correct spot.

Also might be the fixtures themselves. Some of them get corroded and fail. Do the tail lights work?

Tail lights work, turn signals work, cab brake light works, trailer brake lights work, all fuses are OK, brake and turn signal use the same buld. Since the cab brake light work and trailer brake lights work could it still be in the switch?

Final resolution. OK the turn signal and brake light do not use the same element as I thought. The taillight/stoplight/turn signal lens has three bulbs in it; all 3057. The top one is tail/turn, the middle one is tail/stop, and the bottom one is backup. Guess I'm too old to be working on these younger vehicles but who would think that both brake lights would burn out at the same time. I'll post my other problem (horn/anti theft going off for no reason) on diesel page. I guess that is where I need to put it.

Thanks for suggestions and help
Byron

The wiring diagrams shows a tail/turn signal bulb and a tail/stop signal bulb. I would double check the bulbs.
