I have an '87 short box. All I hear about on this site is bad news about the new Ram's.
Actually I think that buying a new Ram would be a bad move. And if u don't like it, tell Dodge. The old Mopar's are the best Mopar's.

just curious what kind of "bad news" most of the things I have read here are only dissapointment with the looks of the 06, and thats just a matter of ones taste, but if there are serious issues lurking, then I would LOVE to know! I am seriously close to getting a new one! But I would also still be VERY happy with an 05! But I guess in response to the original post, YES, I am really thinking about getting an 06

well hey man it is up to you. of course the performance and quality is still there and it is still a great truck.I mean come on.....................HEMI. to me it is all about the look. Dodge really screwed up in my opinion with the new look for 06 i dunno but to me it look alot like a big dakota and when the dakotas first came out i hated them. And still do

If I owned one, I would. That mega cab model with the cummins is a monsterous truck.

I *think* I saw a silver one yesterday at my daughter's old daycare. At first I blew it off for what I thought was a Dakota (which I happen to think are ugly as sin now), but something seemed wrong. It seemed entirely too large to be a Dakota.

Whatever it was, Ram or Dakota, I didn't like it. The front end is hideous, and the soft curves on the '05 and earlier are now rigid angles.

I'll pass. Glad I bought my '05 when I did.
