Default Rebuild: need parts check and a few questions

I have my 04 5.7 apart due to number 3 and 7 piston failure. So at this point the cylinders and block have been checked and are in good standing. I have ordered a mater rebuild kit and plan on using all 8 pistons new, a new oil pump, new timing chain. I have also ordered a comp 260 cam, 6.1 exhaust springs and the 6.1 pushrods as well as a Jet 180 thermostat. Does this list sound about right? 6.1 pushrods will work with this cam, right?

Other questions:
-can I re-use the rod bolts or should I get new?
-can I re-use the head bolts or get new?
-Should I replace the water pump while I am at it? (75000 on engine)
-to seal oilpan back up should I use silicone?

I am sure I will have more, Looking at starting the rebuild on Friday.

I had my engine built this summer and a new water pump was pretty much required to get the 3 year warrantee. I don't know about the bolts but I think they tend to reused them.

In the service manual it states the connecting rod bolts are torque to yield bolts. Don't see any such notes for the head bolts

Rod bolts and main head bolts all need to be replaced. Secondary head bolts can be reused but I wouldn't reuse them for as cheap as they can be gotten.

Get a 6.1 oil pump while your at it. They're about the same price as a 5.7 but better in volume delivery I believe. It's a nice little upgrade for your new engine.

don't reuse any of the head bolts, or rod bolts.

I even suggest you get new valve cover bolts, as they tend to snap when you re-torque them....
