Default Heater treated HVAC replacement doors.

Just thought id post up a pic of the Heater Treater upgraded doors, to repair the common damaged Dodge ones.
The doors appear to be very much more robust than stock.

Here's some links to the video how to diagnose faults/repairs using the Heater Treater solution.

Don't know....not done it yet. But it looks a heck of a lot easier than removing the whole dash and then putting in some new, but same substandard parts back in from Dodge, to break all over again.

Default Heater Treater Doors

Hey,
Have you do the install of the Heater Treater Doors yet???
If so, how did it go. Don't really like the idea of cutting up the box to get the doors in and the fact that you can't maintain the dual heat if you do it their way.

I was wondering if you can't replace the doors with the box still in the truck. I know you have to pull the dash back but could you replace the doors with the box still in the truck, that way you don't unhook the heater hoses and AC lines.
Does anyone know if it can be done this way???

Thanks

I was very lucky.
After using the Heater Treater diagnosis video, I only had one issue, a defective recirc door. By happen chance, the easiest of the faults on these HVAC systems to repair.
I bought the whole shebang from Heater Treater, as the stock doors are of such poor quality it's only a matter of time before they fail.
Heater Treater are right on that one.
As for cutting etc, on the recirc door it says to cut the grating above the doors to allow fitment.
I didn't.
I'd previously dropped the HVAC fan and motor earlier this year, reached up and yanked out the defective door. I did the same last month when I got my replacements from Heater Treater, and just refit the door through the opening left by dropping the main fan and motor again.
No cutting and the repair all looks stock.
I only have the single zone heating so can't comment on the dual climate system.
I wouldn't have any problems following the instructions with the doors to repair the other doors such as the blend and mode doors if needed with these replacements.
Well worth the money I paid for them and much much cheaper than a repair in the stealership.
I couldn't comment on replacing stuff with the box in situ, without discharging the AC system and pulling back the dash.
I didn't need to thankfully, but I guess someone might chime in here if they've succeeded.
Good luck.

Default Heater Treater HVAC door

I just replaced my doors with the heater treater steel doors and man i am impressed with how strong they are. My defroster stopped working so i had to replace the mode 1 door. I just went on and replaced the blend door and the recirc door also since i had the dash down already. The mode 1 door is a real tight fit so it will take some manuevering to get the door in place. But everything is working perfectly.

Anyone know which door it is that switches between the floor and the defrost vents? Whenever I put my vent **** into any position that is supposed to blow through the floor vents, it comes out of the defrost vents.

That's the mode 2 door; the hardest to replace. Check out the first link here for some good pics of what goes into it.
