Default HELP!!! After rebuild Ram wont start.

Just finished doing a rebuild on a 5.7. Removed the engine from the tranny and pulled engine out. Did 8 new pistons, 6.1 exhaust springs, 6.1 push rods, comp 260 cam, new oil pump, new timing chain, new head on driver side, new water pump. Put it all bad together and it turns over but will not fire. There is a fuel smell so I think it is getting fuel. No codes to be found. What should I look at? Thanks

Could I be 180 out on the timing? Number 1 was at TDC cam pin at 12, crank notch at 2 and I lined up the dots on the cam pully and crank with the black chain links. could I still be 180 out?

check to make sure you didn't put the fuel lines on backwards too.... kinda sounds like something is wrong with the fuel lines if you're smelling fuel....

Are you getting spark?

It may not like what it is seeing with the comp 260 cam and not allowing the engine to fire... you might need to get a custom tune on there in order to get it to start right.... just a thought without any hard data to look at during crank cycle.

Its running. The dealer had removed the fuel relay and we didn't find it until late. The 6.1 stuff still not a fan of the computer but I think it is learning some and the motor is loosening up some also. Should be able to spend some time with it tomorrow.
