torsion bars = confusion
i cranked my torsion bars today and i have a quick question. pre crank measurement showed the drivers side a half inch lower than the passenger side. i did 5 turns on the drivers side and 4 turns on the passenger sid and now both sides are even at 38 7/8". does a one turn difference between the two sides sound like it's too much? i thought they would be closer to eachother than that. maybe within a 1/4-1/2 turn?
i took the truck to a few different empty lots and checked the measurements and it was still sitting high on the passenger side even though the driver side was turned up one full turn more, so i backed off on the passenger side 1/4 turn and that seemed to put it level. but now there is an even bigger difference between the two sides. driver/5 turns, passenger/3 3/4 turns. that just seems wrong to me but we'll see what happens.
I want to bump this thread up because i noticed that my 03 ram is also 1/2 inch lower on the driver side. Now isit just me or does this sound like a common problem? Or could there be a reason for this. Should a guy level it or leave the1/2 inch difference.
before i did this to level my truck, the driver side was a little lower too.

I wonder if they have the driver side lower from factorybecause the crown of any road is higher than the outside, which inturn would make your truck ride uneven if the driver side wasn't lower. Just a theory!!
