I have a 2002 Dodge ram 1500 with the 5.9L. i have noticed that when at full running temperature there is a ticking noise coming from the engine. i only notice it when i am sitting at a stop light or in park idling. i can shove my head in the drivers side front wheel well and get a really good listen to it. not sure what it is. was told a possible exhaust leak?
id like to point out, it seems to only happen when its completely warm not cold. and its seems to not happen all the time (unless i just have accustomed to it and just dont notice it)
thanks for any input!

i have small ext leak on my dak it has stayed the same for 1 1/2 years. i have some ext hints. 1. ALLWAYS use anti-seize compound on ALL ext and all threads on the bottom side of your truck. 2. tighten all ext threads to 70-80% of full toque, then after 4-6 full heat cycles take to full toque. if it starts to leak before that go on the full toque.
