Broken valve spring ...
The Ram was idling, charging the battery on my 300C when the Ram just chugged and quit. The only way it would start was to give it part-throttle like the old days of carburetors. When it did start, it ran like crap and made some unpleasant noises. Got it torn down today and found this:

That is the #6 exhaust valve spring. Grrr!

I'll be doing well to survive just fixing it. Nothing fancy, just springs, push rods and valve stem seals.

Just did mine had the springs / seals in then was on hold for
3 weeks waiting for manley pushrods . If you order them thru summit
Or from manufacture they'll keep telling you next week.
Well my oe pushrods went in got sick of waiting.
Since u have another vehicle you might do like I did
And pull radiator, trans cooler , p/s cooler , and fan,
So u can stand in engine bay . With my bad back and
Eyes I needed to get as close as possible to work. Just leave
Condenser alone , yes it added more time to job but much
Less Likely to drop a keeper when you can stand close to and see
What your doing. Must get crane cams spring tool, worked great.
Stuff all holes with paper to be safe. If using air to keep valves up
Zip tie quick disconnect on air hoses so it can't release if bumped.
Leave all plugs in motor so it takes a lot of force to spin motor. Good
Magnet! Good luck.
