IAC could be seized open instead of closed. pull it out and test it.

OK, found the problem now to figure out how to fix it. It looks like a plate or something that goes on the back of the intake facing the firewall has blown off. Looks like the only way to get to it is pulling the intake!!! Not sure how hard that will be but seems that I have no choice.

Intake and resonator box are an easy remove. If your talking about the intake manifold its still easy but you may need a new gasket and you have to be careful of using proper torque when re installing

Don't have a picture of mine but here is one from the internet. The part that blew off is on the back with a vacuum hose connector.

Did you find your problem? My 2004 ram Hemi did the exact same thing. I'd be interested in finding out what you did...
Thx

Yes, I did. There is a picture of where the problem is in post #15. Found it by shinning a light down the intake with the butterfly open and saw light coming out the back of the intake. Did this at night when it was dark and the problem really stood out. Haven't fixed it yet but I'm just going to glue the part back on. The other option is just buying a new intake. Good luck with yours.
