Hey guys, just got LED map lights and a dome light. Dome light works fine but the map lights are a little funky. They work when you open the car door but thats it. They dont work if you are driving and you try to click them to turn on. I have the console with the sunroof control. Got the lights off superbrightleds.com Part# WLED-WHP5. Any input is appreciated, thanks!

 

I just found out that I have to have the dome light on in order to turn on the map lights up front. Kind of stupid and an inconvenience.

But I was looking into an LED for my dome. Was WLED-WHP5 the part number for the dome? I went onto the superbrightleds website a few weeks ago but wasnt sure which to get.

What color did you go with?

 

No the WLED-WHP5 are for the map lights. The dome light I got is Part# 4410-W1-CB and I think that's why I'm having a problem.

I selected the year, model and make of my truck on the website and it came up with 2 different dome lights. One for trucks with the CAN Bus system and one without. I bought the one with the CAN Bus system but I believe this system was first introduced to the trucks in 2006. I have a 2005. I am going to buy the other bulb (Part# 4410-x9) And I went with Cool White for the color. I love the way it looks!

 

Sweet I was thinking of that color too. Can't wait to order it.
