07, hemi 5.7 starts then shuts itself off.
truck just starts then after 2-3 seconds even before idling down, it shuts off. I have been disc the battery cabels and its been starting after that but yesterday my dash died rpm, spedo all went down too 0 for a second then came right back on but now i have no cruise, and an abs and parking break light are on and my brakes are squeeling. Also my truck has a chip key and around 6 months ago it fell out of my wifes purse at the grocerie store parking lot and it was ran over, it has a big crack along the back but everything worked up untill about 2 weeks ago. could the key be part of the problem??

If you have another key, try that one for a wek and see if you have any similar issue's.
Also, if you do have another key, NOW is the time to get a 3rd spare and program it. If you Don't have a 2nd key, your screwed and will have to pay obsurdly high dealer prices to program it.
Your key has nothing to do with the speedo though, so you may have another issue such as ignition cylinder.

TIPM controls all the electronics in your vehicle. It is not the same as your PCM, as that controls your engine. I had to have my TIPM replaced last month, as I lost all turn signals. $800 was the best price I found. Your key has a chip in it, and if it fails, you will not be able to start your truck. It will give you three tries... as in, you start it, if the key doesn't communicate with the computer, it will shut down after a couple seconds. If you do this three times, you are locked out of starting it again. I have had this happen on occasion in the past, and I have had to disconnect the battery and reconnect. That cleared up the problem for a few months. It could be your TIPM, or it could be your key, or it could be the sensor in the column. If the battery disconnect does the trick for you, I would do that until something else pops up that makes it apparent as to what the real problem is.
