Default 2004 Ram 1500 Front CV Removal

How the h-e double hockey sticks does the inner cv come off the shaft/snub of the differential? I have it out of the hub end and we have tried:

Small pry bar
Large pry bar
EXCESSIVELY large pry bar
Porta-Power (which broke)
Many different wedges to pry against.

And this thing still will not pop off the shaft! What is next?

You need to pull it straight off the diff shaft. When your using a pry bar, you end up tweaking the cv up causing it to bind. I usually try and use two pry bars on both sides of the CV axle to apply even force.

I had to pull the diff out and used a sledgehammer to get them off. One of them pulled out the intermediate shaft with it. If I was to do it again I would remove the spider gears from the front diff and remove the snap rings from the inside. They shafts will slide right out after that. This way you need to install new intermediate shafts as well, which is smart to do anyways.
