I have a 2007 Ram 1500, when the "TRUCK" is cold about 40 degrees or below the "Factory Key Fab" will not start the truck (runs 5 sec. shuts off then will not turn over at all). ONLY WHEN THE TRUCK IS COLD, NOT THE KEY FAB.

I purchased a key with a chip online and I programed it, it works fine. I cut the chip out and hot glued it next to the ignition key slot now any cut key with out a chip will start the truck and let it run. Saved money not having to buy new fabs.

Having both chips there does not create a problem because the "Factory Key Fab" works fine when the vehicle is warm during the summer or when the truck warms up. The truck starts and runs fine with both chips when the truck is warm.
