Default 5.7 random stalling after topping off fuel tank

Had to drive about 175 miles to LA today. Topped off my gas tank before hitting the freeway. I pull out of the gas station and while waiting to make a right turn my Ram just died. Took a few seconds to get it running again. Thought it was weird.

Coming up to the freeway on ramp and again it stalled out but started a bit quicker. Driving at freeway speeds it was just fine. Hit some traffic in LA and the idle started getting weird but smoothed out. It's down 1/4 tank now.

In traffic in Anaheim it purrs at lights and idles like a champ. No check engine light ever came on either.

Any idea what's wrong? I know it's vague but maybe the topping off the tank is a good hint? I know it'll make it back home tomorrow but I can't help but worry about my truck...

Several posts along that line in many forums. My '03 doesn't do it, but my 300C does. I'm not sure if anyone has found a cure, except to not top it off. Consider it done at the first pump click.

Thanks Mike. I did some searching afterwards... whoops. Got caught up in the "Holy **** whats wrong with my truck?!?" moment. Everything is cool with it now. I'm taking your advice and considering it done at the first click.

There was a thread I recall from awhile back that had to do with the relief valve on the gas tank, which required a whole new fuel tank to fix the problem... so worst case scenario that is what is going on, but it's a rare problem.

It's likely just some PM that is needed, or maybe you got some bad fuel....
