How do I know the part # I will need? I looked them up and came up with 3 different ones!?? 5211935AF, 5170477AF, and one place gave this D72420A. These start at about $200 and go up to about $270... Any idea about the right one? like my name says... I have a 2006 Ram 1500 with the 5.7 Hemi.

I threw away the box it came in. I'd go to the dealer with your VIN number and get the correct part number from them.

Hey, I just found my receipt for the one I bought from the dealer.
It's part number 52119435AF.
I'm pretty sure there were no changes to the tranny between 04 and 06.

Just finished this very same repair, same year. Found a new solenoid for $240, got both filters and 8 qts of fluid.....all in all done for around $300 and a couple of hours....no programming required.
