Checked the forums a little, couldn't find an answer for my exact problem.

About 2 weeks ago the Check Gages light came on when I went to turn on my truck for the first time that day. Its been doing it on and off since then and when the light comes on the Oil Pressure gauge will not work. 2 days ago I changed the oil and filter which it needed with Amsoil 5W-20 and that didn't help. The light came on yesterday. Engine runs smooth with no problems before and after the oil change.

The Check Gages light only seems to come on when I go to start my truck for the first time that day. All I have to do is turn off the truck then turn it back on and the light will go away and the oil pressure gauge will work fine. It won't come on while I'm driving, only when the truck has been off and I got to start it.

Any input is much appreciated!
