Default slight clunky feel

Just two days ago on my 05 I heard a light clunking or chatter noise coming from the front,I think the right side.seems only when I turn to the left.
And really only at low speeds but not all the time, never does it going straight.what could it be? Wheel bearing, u joint? Cv,? Going to look closer tomorrow when I put the front on jack stands.maybe a broken brake pad but I doubt it. Doesn't pull.this sucks right around the holidays.
Hope u guys have some in put and have a great Thanksgiving holiday.

Shawn

Check the u-joint for the T/C to the rear drive line first-----best to remove the drive line to do this, if it isn't moving smoothly--its time. Seems like that's the one that gets worn out first, but not always.

I saw your post after I pulled the front passenger side, don't know a little play when I grab the tire from top to bottom but I not much. Did it to the drivers side and didn't budge.don't know .being I have the wheel off should I look deeper into this? Also what size nut that holds the hub on? A lot of variables to look at.came inside to warm up, I'll check back here in a little to see any more inf before I go back outside.

Also its only when I turn, pretty sure to the left only but doesn't always do it.so that's why I was thing coming from front end.

I'm almost 99% sure its the right front.I put the tire back on for the hell of it and I wiggles a little and the drivers side nothing.it only grinds slightly on and off. Maybe not bad yet.if I pull the 1 11/16 hub nut off what do I have to do then? I'm somewhat mechanically inclined to try it.just don't know what to look for or if I have the proper tools

Worn sway bar end link bushings can cause clunking as they did on mine...there is also the balljoint side of the end link which can also wear loose and start clunking. Just a thought.

It sure sounds like a bad wheel bearing to me...as I've changed both of mine. You should only have play on the wheel if it has serviceable wheel bearings and you definitely have sealed units.
