Default 2005 1500 front axle
Hello all, I just found out my pinion gear went through my axle case and cracked it.
I'd like to know if my front axle is a Dana 44?

It should be a Chrysler 8.0. The Dana 44 was in the 94-01 Rams.

No, It's an american axle (AAM) 9-1/4" L.C. open diff

If its a 1500 it has a 205mm front axle which is the same as an 8". That was the only front axle available.
