The ram 4.7 is under powered no doubt, but the only way you will blow a headgasket is if you cant properly maintain a vehicle and keep an eye on your gauges. If thats the case then go buy a honda so you can kill one of those instead

 

the thing is when you buy them used as i do cause i cant afford a new one you have no clue if the guy before you maintained it right or not.but im going to look at a 5.7 next week dodge rams are my favorite truck.i found a few for sale around here ones a 2nd gen and ones a 3rd gen. guess if i buy the 2nd gen ram ill be back over on that side of the board.lol
