Its been awhile since I've been on the forum.

I need your help.

Yesterday my truck was giving me a lamp out indicator on and off (with its annoying chime). But no lights are out…Today I am driving home from work and every time I touch the brake pedal all of my running lights come on.

Also for some reason when my running lights are on, my passenger brake light is lit up.

I've read of connection problem, relays, and ground issues, but would like to know what is the cause of this? Where should I begin?

Check all of the light bulbs first, I had a similar problem with that and it ended up being just a bad bulb. it was a lot cheaper to replace the bulb then the whole wiring harness.

 

Check the bulbs first, then check the grounds in your tail lights. If the ground's gone they will back feed through the other side of the bulb and through the parking circuit.

 

I agree with the guy above.
Kinda like trailer lights or christmas lights.
Bad ground somewhere will play games with the lights everywhere.
