For your Ram? You need at least 1 working remote if you don't want to have the dealer do it. If you have a working remote you can match a new remote to it with the instructions I have.

1. Press [LOCK] button 5 times at 2 second intervals to resynchronize transmitter. Attempt to function transmitter, it working as designed discontinue programming.

2. Turn ignition to the run position (Allow Ignition chimes to stop).

3. Using original transmitter, press and hold the [UNLOCK] button on the transmitter for between 4 and 10 seconds.

4. Continue to hold the [UNLOCK[ button and press the [PANIC] button. A chime will sound to indicate that the transmitter programming mode has been entered (Allow 3 seconds for chime to sound).

5. Press a button on all transmitters to be programmed into the system including any previously programmed transmitters; a chime will sound when each transmitter has been programmed.

6. Turn the ignition to OFF position to exit the transmitter programming mode.

Hey thanks couple of questions
1. Press [LOCK] button 5 times at 2 second intervals to resynchronize transmitter. Attempt to function transmitter, it working as designed discontinue programming.

Is that in the truck or on original transmitter?

Does it matter if the doors are open or shut?

You just saved me a trip to the dealership Thanks again.

I did it with the doors closed, not sure if it matters. The lock button mentioned is on the remote.

What a rip. My local dealership sells them for 40 bucks and about the same to program them.

My dealership wanted a lot more, but ThePartsYouNeed.com had them for $24.99 and programming was free.

Anyone know where to find more of those TINY sized keyrings that are attached to the remotes? I bent one open a little too much and I want to replace it before I lose it off the bigger keyring on my keychain.
