Default New Ram Owner..Tune up?

Hey guys, first time ram owner here, just kinda wondering what else would be wise to change out on these trucks with a tune up..other than the usual..plugs, wires, air filter, etc...kinda curious because I cant seem to nail down if this truck has fuel filter or what..

Thanks

No filter, just a screen on the fuel pump in the tank.

Nope you have a direct fire coil on plug setup.

You do however have 16 Spark plugs if you have the 4.7L or 5.7L Engine so be prepared for that.

Also note that most of our trucks do much better with Copper Core plugs, so try and stay away from Platinum/Iridium/etc. plugs as they don't always perform better than regular old coppers.

Air Filter is always good to replace (or clean out if you have a reusable filter)

Other than that, just follow your Owners manual for standard maintenance.

Only time you need to change the fuel filter is if you've got a Diesel.... ours are just the plain old socks that sit inside the tanks hooked up to the fuel pumps.

Enjoy

Right next to the ones you took out...

They sit right next to eachother.

Pull a coil off and you should see them.....

What year is your truck?

The 4.7 was revised in 2008 where it received its 16 spark plugs.

OP has a 2005 4.7 meaning there's only 8.
