Radio Power Without Key
Confirmed?
I have a 2008 with an aftermarket radio. I also have my own harness that is NOT a canbus overpriced/convenient plug'n'play! My radio stays on when the truck is off until 10min timeout or until I open up the driver door!
I used the cigar outlet which is fused on a timer. Whoever put the radio in, must have used direct ignition power not on a timer. All OP needs to do is switch the power lead to a diff wire.

My 06, factory radio is off with the key.
Edit - It very well could be a setting I'm not aware of, but a quick search of my owners manual didn't come up with anything. I think chrysler calls it "retained accessory power"

It also sucks b/c if you have something plugged in that draws a bit more power than say a cell phone charger you'll pop the fuse in a heartbeat, but it's a low-tech means to save yourself $60-$100 on install parts :-P
My 2006 radio also turns off as soon as soon as the ignition is turned off. The same since it was brand new
