I have an 07 Ram 1500 4x4 and lately when driving on the highway in order to overtake someone i put the foot down just enough to downshift but what happens is it revs up and a split second later it clunks into gear. This also happens at regular speed around town. sometimes when i do overtake someone after the down shift, it wont shift back up to top gear just stays in the lower gear it downshifted into. I bought the truck with an upgraded muffler and someone told me the tranny needs to be re programmed after.
