Default Will Fender flares from a 3500 fit my 1500??

Im buying bushwacker fender flares used off an 06 ram 3500 and i was told they will fit my 05 ram 1500 short bed. Is this true? Also i wanted to know if fender flares cause rust if water gets trapped inside them?

yes they will fit. Ram usually trap water on the inside lip. If you live up north, just wash them out with extra water.

they are not water tight. If you spray water
where the flare meets the truck it will rise out whatever is behind there. If you don't live up north I would not worry.

Yes they will fit. Same body.

You will have moisture and salt stuck inside regardless how well they are washed out. What you can do is remove them in the middle of winter and in the spring time to clean out behind them.

If you like the look of them and will plan on keeping them forever, don't worry if they will rust your truck. It's not going to drop the overall value on a 2005 as much as you'd think. I would still remove them after winter and clean behind...

They are better for your paint/fenders if you have wider tires than without. So, for some guys, it's a win/win.
