Default Chip for the Hemi?

I saw an ad on this site for a chip that increases horsepower (not really important to me) and adds 7-9 mpg (important to me).

True or bullsh*t?

too good to be true. then it is. total BS

All it is... A Resistor in a box that fools the IAT sensor into thinking the intake air temp is colder than what it really is. This actually uses more fuel, not less.
Also, your truck is Electronic and has 02 sensors, so itll read that they are rich and compensate for this rendering what they are selling uttery useless.

Get a TUNER. Anything "chip" is garbage and a waste of money.

For a stock truck, Superchips 3865 Flashpaq is the way to go. They have Fuel saver tunes to help save gas, but unless you drive a sh|tload, any mod you do to your vehicle will take a loooooooong time to pay back. The cheapest MPG mod is to get a 4cyl DD car that will pay itself back because you'll otherwise burn it up in fuel with your truck.

If you have modifications..You don't othewise you wouldnt be carrying on about MPG's, but if you did, Diablo Predator would be the way to go because they can be programmed to carry alterations to their tuning programs.

I have a Superchips Tuner. I am able to have full control over the transmission shift schedule both up and down shifts which did help MPGs in the city. Highway suffered slightly. I still get 15.5mpg even with mds disabled(useless in a 5,000lb+ truck)

Long story short. There are no chips for our trucks, only tuners. If it says chip then stay the hell away from it

7-9 mpg? I have some ocean-front property in Wyoming for you. Year-end special: $10,000/acre.

Yep, this question gets posted every couple of months. If you do some homework and Google searches you'll see where people gullible enough to have bought one post up where they either did nothing or actually had negative results.

Bottom line, unless Obama is giving it to you, there ain't no free lunch. LOL...

Sh*t . Sounds like a good deal.

I'm a little short this week, though......That Brooklyn Bridge cost more than I was hoping.
