Dodge didn't manufacturer your pump so you can't blame them. My pump lasted 100k so you just got a bad pump. Chit happens

You didn't have to use HOAT. You could have used regular coolant. Been using it in mine since my first flush and I bought my truck new in 04

Glad you got it all back together and running. I'm sure you're relieved

Ebay. Just hard to beat

Last year or maybe 2011 I redid my entire front end and priced everything locally. Even with online discount codes from Advanced Auto I still came out significantly cheaper buying the same parts off eBay.

New lower ball joints, UCAs, tie rods, sway bar links and wheel bearing hubs. I also rebuilt my front calipers but that was really cheap. All in all I think it was no more than 350.

Well, I'll be a monkey's uncle. 25k miles later, and the water pump is shot again. Yesterday, I noticed a growl coming from under the hood. I immediately thought, "that sounds like a bearing". Shut the truck off, popped the hood, and went straight for the radiator fan. I grabbed it, and gave it a wiggle, and the fan pulley had about 1" of side to side play.

Insert string of expletives here. ________ _______ __________ ____ __________ ________

Bought a new water pump this morning, and a gallon of Zerex G05. Finished the job in about 2 hours. I'm definitely saving the receipt this time, for warranty purposes.

Grrrrrrrrr, rant off!
