shock replacement!!

Default shock replacement!!

can you replace rear shocks with coil overs on a 2002 ram 2500 with leaf springs

Ummmm yah, shouldn't be a problem, just make sure the manufacturer has designed them for your truck.

Guess they'll work like booster springs. Might stiffen the ride too much.

I put monroe coilovers on my 1500 about 6 months ago. It does stiffen the ride, which is to my liking. Also adds some "unofficial" payload capacity and the bed does not sag with only a few hundred pounds in it anymore. Plus, a pair is only like $90. I would recommend them.

They also raise the rear end about 1-1.5" which will add to your rake if not leveled. I have bilstein 5100s up front at the max setting and the truck still sits with a slight (~1.5") rake. I had the coilovers in with stock front shocks for a few weeks and it looked a bit odd (~4" rake).
