Default 06 ram 1500

Alright I have a 2006 ram 1500 with a 2 inch leveling kit. Just ordered rims and tires and waiting for them to come in and I'm getting nervous. I got 18x9 fuel hostages with 0 offset and 5 inch backspace wrapped in 285/65/18 please tell me they won't rub on anything. Guy at the rim place seemed like an idiot but my tires are bald and needed to get new ones on truck ASAP.

Comparing your wheels to my 20" set-up with 275's....
Your wheels are going to stick out .75" compared to stock 20's. And you have a slightly wider tire(0.4") so, the tire will stick out .2" on inside and outside wider than stock.

I have 1/4" clearance to my upper a-arm, so with 0 offset on 9" wheels, that gives you 1" until you touch. So, your good with the 285's and you should have 3/4" of room behind there.

All-in-all, you'll stick out of the fender well a little more than 1" compared to the stock 20" set-up. I think that's just enough to make a bold statement and not too much where your getting the side of your truck dirty as hell fromspit up.

Awesome thanks for the advice dirtydog. The guy at the rim and tire shop didn't seem to have a clue. I told him I was looking for the tires to stick out of the fender a little just to give it that mean look. But not too far to where it looks stupid and didn't want it to rub anything. from what you just said sounds exactly what I wanted. Thanks again.
