Both Airraid and S&B sell filters that dont require oil.

The oiled one's only require oil every 40-50kmi anyways.

Yeah. Dirty found my S&B for me. Last week when I changed out my water pump I cleaned it out. Sprayed it with Purple Power and rinsed it out. Then gently blew it out with air (to get most of the water out) and let it air dry

me is not about the "work" that is not a problem! I thought that the oil filters must be frequently / oiled regularly ...
If the need "just" happen all 40kmi, that would be no problem.

Have the oiled air filter advantages over the non-oiled

yes. 30,000 mile .. check manual.. I do once a year .. just because I have 4 to maintain. I do all 4 on the same day.

doing it for 30 years...
first.. you can wash and re-oil over and over.. for many years.. NO REPLACEMENT...
might give you slightly better gas mileage.
proven to provide more air to engine (if needed).

and with many stock air filters now over 15 dollars each.. I am saving money.
