Default Ball Joints & Wheel Bearing/Hub

Who makes the best Ball Joints and Wheel Bearings out there??

I am going to be rebuilding the front end of my truck this winter and I am starting to buy parts for it. This is what I have heard so far for best manufactures of these parts.
Truck has 150K on it and I don't think these have been replaced yet.

Ball Joints - Carli
Wheel Bearings/Hub - Timken

Are these the best parts for my truck or will like Moogs work? Want parts that will last another 150K at least.

Everyone,

Are the Carli Ball Joints not really worth the money?? The set of ball joints from Carli are $800.

Going to be getting my parts from Summit Racing I think.

Uhhhhhh, 800 bucks for ball joints? Am I reading that right? If that's true, then NO, they are not worth the money. A ball joint is a ball joint. Just like a pipe wrench is a pipe wrench. I definitely wouldn't buy a harbor freight pipe wrench, but I wouldn't spend 800 bucks on one either.

If you got 150K out of your OEM parts, I would replace them with OEM parts. Otherwise, Moog. As for the bearings, OEM or Timken.

The carli ball joints are designed to take the abuse that their suspension system allow the truck to do. They are practically bullet proof and fully rebuildable. Unless, you jump your truck or off road it hard, you should just go with moog or a quality aftermarket. No point of getting dodge ball joints if they don't include zerks. Unless factory 2500 ball joints actually do have them.

You can get the Moog's for about 200 bucks. Therefore you could by 4 sets equal to one set of Carli's. Do you plan on having you truck with over 750,000 miles on it? If not, it would be cheaper to go with the Moog's.

IDK where youre shopping at or how youre doing it but Moogs shouldnt cost 200.
