Someone attempted to still my truck and screwed up my ignition. I have a 04 Ram Hemi. The steering wheel is locked also. I tried moving the steering wheel and wiggling the key but no turn. I need to change the ignition cylinder out. How do you remove the ignition cylinder without turning the key.

 

Have you removed the pplastic shroud that covers the steering wheel base? Make sure the electronics are still plugged in.

You may have to remove a bit more to gain access to the locking mech so you can do it manually.

Try giving the wheel a pretty good tug, while trying to turn the key. Did they stick something into the ignition cylinder? If so I would just replace it.
