2003-2008 2500 recall(as of 12/30/2013)
OK has anyone gotten a recall notice on there 2500?
I just got a letter last week, , went to my local dodge dealer
they looked at the letter, took it and said, My truck was fine? never even looked at my truck, but the kept the letter, and made me sign off on a form saying I had them look at it??
I asked them , how they kenw without looking at my truck, and they said it was only on diesel trucks
so anyone have a gas one, with the problem??
I had to replace my tie rods, 2 yrs ago, so?? I did use Mopar replacements too, so, now I am wondering, if this shop is screwing me and just going to bill Dodge for work they didn't even do?/
here is a copy of the recall I got

They are recalling all the 03-08 dodge rams with the solid front axle. They were not built with the recalled tie-rods but they don't know which trucks have had the newer faulty tie-rod installed. Most truck will probably not have any work necessary but the OP truck has had a tie-rod replaced so I would be more concerned with it. The same steering is used on both gas and diesel trucks or they would not have been in the recall.
