Default 2004 5.7 engine hesitation

04 1500 5.7 Hemi. Last weekend I was traveling on the highway, engine started missing and it turned out to be a broken valve spring and bent push rod. Not realizing the extent of the problem I put about 30 miles on the truck before it was at the dealer for service. I have been experiencing some hesitation and an occasional stall at the traffic light. The hesitation occurs under low throttle conditions usually from a stop. Without increasing throttle when it starts to bog down, it seems to bog down for a few revs then jumps on with more power than it should at that throttle position. The problem has slowly been going away, so I am figuring some sensors or plugs were fouled. I checked one plug and it looked good. Any suggestions on a quicker remedy than letting the engine clean itself out? Engine has the power back as the tires chirp when the throttle picks up after the hesitation. I also was able to get 19 mpg on the highway returning after the repair (yes it is the hemi).

When was the throttle body last cleaned? Might need new plug wires, too. I'd think bad wires would show more at higher rpm, though.

Plug wires are original, I know I need to replace at some point, but I don't think they are the source of my current problem.
