Default buying an 04 1500

so i want to get a better truck. one that is better on gas and has 4 wheel drive. i have a 96 ford right now with a 460 and its 2wd. im going to sell it soon and buy my brothers truck. he bought it from a dealership out in Texas.

Im pretty sure he paid 9000 for it. i dont know a lot about it, but i know its an 04 1500 and he says it haw wiring problems under the dash. what do you guys think? do you think it would be an easy fix and how much do you think i should pay for it? i think it does have a small lift.

- Thanks

I have a friend that has an 05 HEMI 1500 4wd that gets 12 mpg city and 18 mpg interstate, it has the tow package and hauls good, (he loves it). Your fix sounds simple. KBB will have your values. Don't forget brotherly love..............K
