4wd indicator light backwards

Default 4wd indicator light backwards
Anyone got any ideas what would cause the 4we indicator to start lighting up backwards? I was checking grounds working on an ignition problem which I fixed. I noticed after pulling and cleaning a couple of grounds the 4x4 indicator would light up in either 2wd or neutral and go out in either 4 hi or low, the 4we does seem to work ok.

Any ideas?
