Default How far can ride height be increased by cranking up torsion bars on 02 Dodge Ram 4x4

How far can the ride height be increased on a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 by cranking up the torsion bars without causing any permanent damage to the suspension....will a good alignment be fine if the torsion bars are cranked up?
I went from a stock tire size of 245/70/17 to 285/70/17 mud terrain tire. The tire store I went to obviously adjusted my torsion bar suspension higher and then did the alignment.

usually anything more than a 1.5-2" lift will start to put excessive wear on CV joints and wheel bearings....

Why'd you decide to go so wide on the new tires? (just curious)

I had mine jacked all the way up and was fine with CV joints, until the boots tore. I looked into it and noticed that at full droop with longer shocks, the boots come in contact with the lower control arms. I have since lowered it back down to wear the front is exactly an inch lower than the rear. I also have 305/70/17 tires which are 34" tall. My truck still has the leveled look.

The tighter you make them, the stiffer the ride. I raised mine 1" I had. 285/70/17 as well
Truck was an 04 1500.
