Hi the past 2 nights when i have left work my drivers door will not latch it latches on the way home after i hold the door shut. It has been below 0 where i am. I am not sure if this happens to others or is my latch frozen?

 

i am NOT an expert here. but if ice is freezing your latch, try to find some straight methanol. some race car shops have it. i put it in a spray bottle. works good on light ice on the windshield or frost. if you can get it inside to the door latch that might help. a work a round might be to use low nitro RC fuel. not cheap but it might be a work around. 10 % nitro. others might have a better idea.

 

gas line antifreeze is methanol in the yellow bottle, and isopropanol in the red bottle

 

found the issue my outside door handle was sticking half pulled out.
