What would you change if you were buying your truck again?
So, as some of you may know, my truck was totalled. I'm on the path for another Dodge. Hopefully an '05 because of the warranty.
Are there any options out there you guys wish you had or wish you didn't pay for? Most '05s still for sale have the premium seat and flat storage options. Both of which I think are silly. I would love to have a sunroof though.
Any thoughts?

If you are talking about the fold flat rear storage, I disagree with the "silly" remark. I find that I use those all the time for stuff I don't necessarily want on the seat but also don't want to leave in the bed of the truck. As a firefighter, I find they are a perfect place to put my turn out gear while still keeping the gear secure. Only thing my truck doesn't have that I wish it did was the GPS.
I got an 05' Silver Laramie and the only thing I wish I did differently is going with the Sport Pak instead. I just like the monochromatic look much better. Oh yeah ! Another thing is I currently have the Infinity Sound. Sucks ! Its gonna be replaced soon anyway, but just another waste of money. My 99 Durango w/Infinity blew this system away.
I would have gotten the sunroof, but they didn't offer it in 2004. Other than that, perhaps leather, but I do like my cloth seats just the same. Maybe I'll look into an aftermarket sunroof. Oh yeah, I should have gotten a LSD.
I think I would have opted for the Power Wagon and then outfitted the interior similar to the Laramie like I have now. That is how you go "Bump and Grind" with Style. I really like the idea of the Locker front end. Not so sure about an electrically operated anti roll bar, but, I could always change that out later too. Plus the Power Wagon has a relatively decent suspension setup for a factory setup. As for Stereos, I got the cheapest thing I could live with knowing I would be changing it out to a Pioneer system eventually.
There you have it---if I could do it again.

I would change the paint from molten red to Silver or Green .Molten red looks dirty all the time. And I'd put bigger street tires on it. and a propane conversion kit on the Hemi if they make it.

HemiBuell - sorry to read about your truck.
I would get the 34 gallon gas tank and the 2006 has the DVD player option. I would definitely get that if there are any long road trips in future with little ones in back, assuming you get a QC. Cloth interior is the way to go if you live in a hot climate. I don't see any value in a nav system if you know how to read a road map. Gotta admit, they are neat toys though. Just my two cents worth on what I would change if I repurchased mine.
Good luck with the purchase.
