Default 2006 ram door lock

2006 ram drivers door will unlock but will not lock. when unlocking and locking it makes a loud noise. i can push down to lock it manually tho. how do i fix this?

I am having the same issue, how did you fix?

I believe the issue is often that the wire bundle from the body to the door in the door jamb will rub on a wire or 2 and after thousands of cycles it will eventually snap the wire(s).

Mine is in the driver side, rear door.
Have to search it out some more and will post...

p.s. first thing that has gone wrong with the RAM in a long while. Let's hope it stays that way. (crossed fingers)
