Default 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 4.7L 61,000 miles

i have a ticking sound under the hood of my truck at first though it was a lefter problem .. now thinking its a rod or both... what do you think .. made a video of my truck running was over 1mb so i upload it to youtube link below

Ouch that sounds like a rod to me.

Edit - Well wouldn't a rod be constant? Thats intermittent... maybe it is a lifter.

yes it sure is ....when to drop the oil pan .... well enough to see that there was a crank counter weight that was all scuffed up ..... wasn't able to get the oil pan off ... do to the gasket stuck to the oil pan or wasn't able to get to the oil drop down tube bolts ... looking for a banduse 4.7 engine ...

thanks... i was wondering if my 2003 dodge slt 1500 that has a 4.7L ... can i plug in a 5.7L to my 4.7L wiring harness .... i'm learning that the 4.7L engine are the most expensive for used engines
