For the price, The PA 3" body lift is hard to beat! I put one on mine and I love it.
You can't tell it's a body lift once you put some Mopar wheel well liners in.

I installed it myself and I spent about 6 hrs. on a Sat. and finished it up in about 3 -4 hours Sun.
This was taking my time and taking several beer breaks! The install is not very difficult just time consuming.
I have 35x12.5x20 Mud Grapplers on it.

It rides the same as before the body lift. It is a body lift not a suspension lift. I hear everyone talk about how bad a body lift is cause it doesnt raise the suspension. Have you looked at anyones suspension lift lately! There rear pumpkin is in the same spot as mine and there front crossmember and torsion bars are about the same as mine. A suspension lift does not lift the suspension up it moves the frame up along with everything attached to it. unless you are a professional offroader a body lift will work just fine. I agree that a suspension lift is better than a body lift cause it gives you more wheel travel and usually the new components are going to be tougher than the oem parts that they replace but $300.00 versus $1500.00+ I'm taking the body lift and I guarantee my truck will go and do 95% of anything a 3" suspension lift can do.
I'm not trying to start an argument hear I just wanted to put my 2 cents out there for all the poeple who don't know much about trucks except for what they read. I know from many posts that I've read that there are plenty of poeple that dislike the body lifts that obviously don't have a clue as to how either of the lifts really work.

Like stated, body lifts are good for appearance. I personally would prefer a suspension lift, but as everyone has noticed THEY"RE EXPENSIVE! I guess it comes down to personal preference.
Hey Dennis, did you notice anymore body roll or a higher center of gravity? I ask b/c this is the most common complaint I hear amongst friends with 2-4" body lifts, but they only noticed it at closer to the limit driving, not day to day. They also said they feel cross winds more since the overall profile has been lifted a bit.

I really can't tell any difference as far as body roll is concerned after the body lift.
It had pretty good body roll when it was all stock. After cranking the torsion bars and adding the new shocks it eliminated most of that. Of course it firmed up the ride a bit but I personally like the ride better now than I did stock.
I don't have any issues with crosswinds but any kind of head wind really cuts down on the fuel mileage. I lost about 1 mpg when I added the 35" tires and lost another 1.5 mpg when I lifted it.
I bought an old piece of $hit car to drive the 80 mile round trip back and forth to work so I don't really worry to much about the fuel mileage on the new truck. I'm pretty sure that when Superchips comes out with a programmer for the 05' 4.7 I'll be able to change the shift points and help out the mileage some.

I have the Fabtech 6" performance lift. It only lifted the truck 4.5-5", but I'm still able to fit 35" tires. The ride is a little stiffer, but it's mainly due to the blocks in the rear. It still rides pretty well. Fabtech seems to overestimate the lift height.
If you want to go tall I would recommend the Skyjacker. Skyjacker says 6" and will give you at least that much lift, and will allow you to fit 37" tires.
You might also try RCD, they come with Bilsteins. I'm considering upgrading to the Bilsteins. The guys at RCD used to be with Rancho but, have formed their own company to make taller lifts. Excellent kits and not any more expensive than the others.
I would not recommend Rough Country, I have heard their suspensions are not very well designed or manufactured for other trucks. (brackets breaking, rough ride, etc) I don't know about the Dodge kit.
The key to lifting an IFS truck is the sub-frame, and the ability to keep the CV angles the same as stock. Look for a kit with a sturdy sub fram assembly, like the ones mentioned above and Rancho.
