Default Whining Noise in front end when accelerating

2004 dodge ram 1500 5.7L Hemi

When i accelerate i hear a whining/squealing sound somewhere in the front end but goes away once i am up to 40mph. I took a walk around while it was idling and i could hear it loudest from front right side of the truck. What also might help is that i noticed the sound after driving over a pretty nasty pothole

Thanks in advance for any help

zack293,

I'm sorry to hear about the noise issue you're experiencing. As @benjamin78 has stated, an issue may be present with your power steering. In regards a squeal noise, the source may be related to the pump, pulley or the power steering drive belt.

Pinpointing the direct cause may require further investigation from a servicing facility. I would hate to see you replace parts unnecessarily.

Keep us posted if you can,
