Yeah it'll probably look like dirty ***, but hey, people put fart cans and spoilers on their Honda Civics too. 4.56 gears should work, but you may want to consider some 4.88s or even a 5.12. Unfortunately, you'll probably also need to upgrade the axles as well, seeing as how much stress 37s and 22 inch rims. Also, with that much added weight, you'll need to upgrade the brakes as well, If you don't you can expect greatly reduced stopping distance, as well as a greatly increased risk of accelerated brake fade.

I thought brakes would be an issue due to the transfer of weight from the rear to the front, as there will be an increase in suspension travel which takes away from the initial "bite" the tires exhibit under braking... Regardless I think lifts over 4" are just ridiculous unless the rig is being used for real off-roading...

Just my opinion and it's his truck and his money. Let him do what he wants.

Either way that much lift and that size of tire WILL reduce his braking quality.
