Question center caps coming off

Not sure why but my center caps have come off 2 of them im guessing they came off when I was driving.Anyway I see I can buy them on ebay but what holds the center caps in do you just press them in with your hand or do they need some type of clip on the back of them?can you pry them out with a screw driver?makes me wonder if someone stole them.the center caps on my truck look like this.

They just press into place.

You could have had broken clips on them as they are removed when tires are changed/balanced.
I would check your lugnuts too. Vibrations can pop them off. Potholes will as well if the plastic clips are aged and brittle and arent holding their form.

It's possible someone took them on you. A pick set(finely pointed) can get them off from outside. Normally, they are pushed off from the inside.

Wink

I had a van & the center caps cam off after a period of time. The last time they came off the service mgr. said to put a little silicone around the back edge. Work great. No more problems. Try that... Good Luck...

No, you just put them in place, and give it a good smack and they'll pop in.

I've lost a couple myself. I ended up putting some silicone on the back and never had a problem since...
