Default Resetting the Oil Change Reminder

I have the AM/FM/CD/Satellite radio in my 2008 Ram 4X4, crew cab with the 5.7 Hemi which has the "Maintenance Menu" feature. I set the oil change reminder for 5000 miles and it notified me as designed. I changed the oil and filter (myself) and the reminder continues to tell me to change the oil every time I start the truck. I have read the owner's manual and can't figure out how to reset the notification and it is driving me nuts. How do I reset the reminder???

Thank you...

Well it is in the manual... but all you do is turn the key to "on" (without starting the engine) and then press the accelerator pedal down 3 times within 10 seconds of turning the key on, and it should be reset...

Btw.... go to the Index of your owners manual, look up Oil Change, and you should see that procedure in your manual.

Thanks for the help. I didn't see it in the manual, so that's why I asked.

No worries. We try to phrase answers that will help future members who have the same issue.

The gas 3x's is how all my GM vehicles work as well. Seems like a common reset procedure these days. I know some use the Evic overheads too.

Went back to the manual and I DID find it on page 196-197. Thank you again.
