Default Air Intake, Exaust, Etc..

Hey All, my name's Chris, I have a 2003 Quad Cab 4x4 Hemi 1500 Ram. Ive been sitting here for hours readings the forums in search of an answer, and I just decided to make an account. Half the people here say that CAI's dont work, and half say they do? Maybe it depends on brand, I was looking at a MOPAR CAI or a K&N. What is the thought's on this?

Also, I heard that Superchips, etc dont work very well for 2003 Hemi's [diff ECU?]

and what header/exaust combo would sound really good, but give decent power? I dont care if it's loud, I just want it to sound muscle-ish

Thanks!

Chris

Some believe the computer "relearns" after the mods and negates the mods. Some say it is worth it.

As far as headers go, get the long tube headers. The Supermaxx package is good but costly. It will also give you the sound you are looking for. If it is just the sound you are looking for, just replace the muffler and take off the resonator.

Superchips offer their CPU upgrades. Most have been happy with a few complaints of incompatibility which Superchips fixes by sending you the correct(ed) version.

Hope this was what you were looking for.

So what should I start off with?

I live in Toronto, so my truck needs emissions testings, and the Supermaxx wouldn't pass emissions, would they?

So start off with a..
Cold Air Intake [Mopar maybe?]
Superchips Tuner? [3715?]

Then maybe, search around for a dual exaust with headers?

If it is going to be emissions tested just replace the muffler and leave everything else alone. Besides the cost/benefit ratio isn't that great when you are talking 10 hp anyway.
