Default Changing valve cover gaskets

04 5.7 hemi. need to change valve cover gaskets. Question is do I need to remove plugs? Or do they stay in place/ obviously need to pull the tubes and coils. Will there be an abundance of oil dripping or small amount. As this has varied on other vehicles.

No, the plugs can stay. Pull what tubes? Mine didn't drip any oil when I took 'em off. Why are you replacing the gaskets?

I didn't have to replace anything. I had the covers off to replace the valve springs. By "tube rings" do you mean the figure-8 gaskets around the plugs? If you have the cover off to replace the gaskets, replace all the gaskets. Not worth the time and aggravation getting the cover off to just replace one gasket. The kits aren't expensive.
